SA20 2026 Live Streaming and Fixtures Details
South Africa’s flagship franchise T20 competition, the SA20, is set to return on Friday, 26 December, marking the start of its fourth edition.
Launched in 2022, the SA20 has quickly established itself as South Africa’s answer to elite franchise leagues such as the Indian Premier League (IPL) and Australia’s Big Bash League, attracting many of the country’s top players along with leading international stars.
This season’s tournament has been brought forward by a few weeks to accommodate the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, scheduled to take place in India and Sri Lanka in February.
The competition features six teams, all of which are owned by IPL franchises: Durban’s Super Giants, Joburg Super Kings, MI Cape Town, Paarl Royals, Pretoria Capitals, and Sunrisers Eastern Cape.
The tournament will get underway in Cape Town, with defending champions MI Cape Town taking on Durban’s Super Giants in the opening match. The league stage will run over four weeks, with the final scheduled for Sunday, 25 January.
Each team will face the others twice during the group stage, with the top four teams advancing to the playoffs. The knockout phase will follow this format:
21 January – Qualifier 1: 1st vs 2nd
22 January – Eliminator: 3rd vs 4th
23 January – Qualifier 2: Loser of Qualifier 1 vs Winner of Eliminator
25 January – Final: Winner of Qualifier 1 vs Winner of Qualifier 2
With high-profile players, intense rivalries, and World Cup preparation on the line, the SA20 promises another thrilling season of top-class T20 cricket.
