Key players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are making their comeback in the T20 format as they join Team India for the upcoming series against Afghanistan.
The three-match T20I series is scheduled to kick off on Thursday, January 11, with the first game taking place at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. Notably, this marks the inaugural bilateral series in white-ball cricket between India and Afghanistan.
Rohit Sharma will reassume his role as the captain for the T20I series, leading the Indian side. Meanwhile, Ibrahim Zadran will captain Afghanistan in the three-match T20I series against the Indian cricket team.
The first T20 International between India and Afghanistan will be played on 11th January at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali.
